Herbs-on-Hudson: An Old-Fashioned Herbal Apothecary
There is a long and
venerated history of the traditional use of herbs and, our
goal at Herbs-on-Hudson is to provide our clients with this
information. Individual consultations can be scheduled to help
design the best healing and rejuvenation protocol involving
diet, vitamins, and herbs. We use the German E-commission
Reports, Taber's Medical Dictionary, Rosemary Gladstar and
David Hoffman's writings, current research by the herbal
industry, antiquarian materia medica, the table of
contraindications between drugs and herbs, and nearly 30 years
of client practice. Custom-blended herbal formulas can be
prepared from bulk herbs (the leaves, roots, twigs, flowers,
berries, seeds, and bark) just as any 19th century apothecary
would have done. We can also make you a special tincture or
hand-ground capsule. Herbs-on-Hudson has clients all over
North America and in Europe. We can send your order to you
within 48 hours.
Herbs-on-Hudson offers many classes on the medicinal,
culinary, and even the metaphysical use of herbs. We can also
help you plan an herb garden for today as well as an historic
Renaissance herb garden and a colonial herb garden.
While practicing as
a medicinal herbalist for the past 30 years, Marguerite
